Jana Seymour
Bio
Jana Seymour’s passion for all things dog began in 2000 with her Jack Russell Terriers, Reidell Fez Marie and Ashburn Annie. She has been a trainer with Who’s Walking Who since 2001, engaging in Rally Obedience, Disc, and Agility, and showcasing those skills as a performer with The WoofJocks Canine All-Star Performance Team. In addition to her hands-on training experience, Jana has extensive hands-on training experience and a long history in the Jack Russell Terrier community, having volunteered with the Jack Russell Rescue, serving as JRTCC President (2005), and now as a Director.
Beyond the dog world, Jana is a dedicated advocate for education and community involvement. As a mother of two daughters (ages 18 and 19), she played an active role in their education, holding leadership positions in parent councils, school board committees, and nonprofit parent associations at the provincial level.
Professionally, Jana has over 25 years of experience as a Senior Learning Consultant in the federal civil service, specializing in Performance and Learning Consulting. She is also a long-standing member of the Institute for Performance and Learning (I4PL) and has actively supported the Toronto Chapter as a volunteer. Her expertise in adult education, instructional design, and professional development aligns with her commitment to lifelong learning’s for herself and those she supports.
As she looks toward retirement, Jana is eager to apply her expertise to further the mission of the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers.
Jana’s motto? Life is too short not to have fun!
