Jaime Knowles is the Director of Training at Good Dog Academy and has been professionally training and handling dogs of all breeds and temperaments since 1998. Committed to ongoing education, she regularly attends seminars and professional development opportunities to continue expanding her knowledge of canine training and behaviour.

Jaime specializes in anxiety, reactivity and other complex behaviour cases. Her extensive training and handling experience also includes competitive CKC obedience and conformation, where she has earned titles with several breeds, as well as training and handling dogs for television and major motion pictures.

Through the Justice Institute of British Columbia, Jaime has been validated as an explosive detection K9 handler, narcotics detection K9 handler and security patrol K9 handler. She has extensive experience raising and training both detection and patrol dogs.

Jaime was also a trainer and handler with the Canines 4 Care team at Vancouver General Hospital, which developed a program training dogs to detect C. difficile. The program received the Top Innovation Award at the 2018 BC Health Care Awards.

Outside of her professional work, Jaime shares her life with Teddy, Tahsis and Riven, and fondly remembers Atty, Dozer and Guinness.
