Helen Prinold is the Lead Trainer at Dog Friendship Inc. and holds a Master of Science in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from the University of Guelph. A certified professional dog trainer and behaviour consultant, Helen has spent years studying animal behaviour and is committed to helping build strong, positive relationships between dogs and their people.

Her professional experience also includes work as a Pet First Aid Training Instructor and as a licensed presenter of Doggone Safe’s internationally recognized “Be a Tree” dog bite prevention program for school-aged children. Beyond dog training, Helen is an accomplished carriage driver with a long history of involvement in equestrian sports.

Helen has been an active volunteer within her community and professional organizations for many years. In 2010, she received the Ontario Equestrian Federation’s “People Make A Difference” award in recognition of her dedication to improving horse sports and more than a decade spent organizing competitions, seminars and events, as well as serving on association executives.

Helen is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attends seminars, completes continuing education and keeps current with scientific research in animal behaviour and training. Her work is grounded in humane, evidence-informed training practices and a commitment to professional standards and ethics.
