Annual General Meeting 2026

Annual General Meeting

Our Annual General Meeting brought together 76 attendees from across the country for an evening filled with updates, progress, and excitement for the future of CAPDT.

Members received a comprehensive recap of the work accomplished over the past year, including updates to the complaint process based directly on feedback shared at last year’s AGM. We also highlighted the impact of our new marketing team, whose efforts have elevated CAPDT’s website, social media presence, and launched our monthly member newsletter to improve communication and engagement across the organization.

Additional highlights included the rollout of new member benefits, roundtable networking events, member-exclusive free webinars, and the completion of the National Curriculum — a major milestone for the association. We also shared updates on our improved volunteer and onboarding processes, the development of strategic alliances, and the launch of the Allied Partners Directory.

One of the most exciting announcements of the evening was the integration of PACTA members into CAPDT and the upcoming launch of our first provincial affiliate program, marking an important step forward in strengthening trainer connections and representation across Canada.

Our committees have been hard at work throughout the year and already have ambitious plans underway for the future. CAPDT remains committed to creating even more opportunities for members to connect, support one another, and continue learning together. We are also actively exploring new member management platform options to better serve our growing community.

During the AGM, we proudly recognized this year’s award recipients, welcomed new board members, and extended our sincere thanks to Jaime Knowles for her three years of dedicated service on the Board of Directors. We are thrilled that she will continue contributing through the working committee.

The evening concluded with an excellent presentation from Jess on the Legacy Pathway initiative, leaving members energized and excited for what’s ahead for CAPDT.

Welcome
